Safety information and procedures
Please read the following information thoroughly prior to signing your waiver.
If you have any questions about this information, please ask one of our guides or management prior to beginning your tour.
In the Summer months, British Columbia’s is an environment that is susceptible to bush fire.
MVMA guides use communication devices to stay up to date on tour environments at all times while you travel.
In the event of a bush fire, your MVMA guide will direct you regarding evacuation processes (if it is safe to do so) or guide you to shelter.
In the event of any emergency while on tour, please follow the instructions of your trained guide.
- Be alert and practice caution as you ride, as wildlife such as bears and elk can be present on the highways and roads that the tour covers
- Never feed wildlife, or leave food behind at pit stops. Dispose of everything in wildlife proof bins, or take it with you – if a bear learns to associate food with human presence it immediately becomes dangerous for both the bear and humans it comes into contact with
- There may be opportunities to view and photograph wildlife at a distance while on tour, however please follow your guides instructions on how to do so safely
